The Wedding Weekend

25 & 26 March 2027

Once guests arrive in Cashel, all wedding celebrations will take place either within the grounds of Cashel Palace Hotel or just a short walk away.

We recommend arriving the day before the wedding to settle in, explore the town, and enjoy time together ahead of the celebrations. Both the Wedding Day and Day Two festivities will take place within easy reach.

With accommodation, dining, and historic landmarks all nearby, we hope guests will have the opportunity to enjoy their time in Ireland before and after the wedding weekend.

Places To See in Ireland

For guests joining us from the UK and beyond, Ireland offers a rich blend of heritage, landscape, and exceptional hospitality. For those extending their stay, we have curated a selection of experiences across Cashel and further afield.

Cashel & The Local Area

Set in the heart of historic Ireland, Cashel is a town defined by heritage, character, and charm - all within easy walking distance of Cashel Palace Hotel.

At it's centre sits the iconic Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland’s most significant historic landmarks, rising dramatically above the town on its limestone outcrop. Cashel itself offers a selection of independent cafés, traditional pubs, and local shops, all set within a beautifully preserved historic centre.

If you're making a weekend of it at Cashel Palace, we'd definitely recommend enjoying the hotel's spa and, if you can, booking dinner at The Bishop's Buttery - its Michelin-starred restaurant.

Coolmore Stud

Set in the heart of the Golden Vale - a rich stretch of farmland across south Tipperary, known for its world-class horse breeding - guests can experience rare, behind-the-scenes access to Coolmore Stud, one of the most prestigious thoroughbred breeding operations in the world.

Cork & The South Coast

To the south, Cork offers a vibrant contrast to the stillness of Cashel, combining culture, dining, and coastal scenery.

Guests can explore Cork city’s restaurants, galleries, and historic streets, or continue further along the coast to West Cork and Kinsale, both known for their harbour views and acclaimed food scene. Fun fact - our first Irish staycation together was in Kinsale. Our favourite restaurants were Man Fridays & Finns Farmcut!

The Wild Atlantic Way

For guests flying into Shannon or extending their stay, Ireland’s west coast is within easy reach.

The Wild Atlantic Way offers some of the country’s most dramatic scenery, from the Cliffs of Moher to the coastal villages of Doolin and Lahinch, set against the Atlantic Ocean.

Galway & The West

On the west coast, Galway offers a lively blend of culture and coastline, with cobbled streets, music-filled pubs, and views across Galway Bay.

Beyond the city, the Connemara region is defined by rugged mountains, lakes, and quiet coastal roads, offering some of Ireland's most breathtaking landscapes.

Dublin

For guests arriving early or extending their stay, Dublin offers a vibrant city experience.

From Georgian streets and Trinity College to contemporary dining and cultural landmarks, the city provides a striking contrast to the stillness of the countryside.

Just outside the city, Howth is a coastal fishing village known for its harbour, cliff walks, and seafood restaurants - a relaxed seaside escape within easy reach of the capital.
